How many calories a day should we consume I am 17 days postop and on purée diet.

I asked the nutritionist the same thing this past week. I'm 6 weeks post-op. ​I'm at around 700-800 calories a day. She said not to worry about the calories. It is more important at this point to get in your protein and drink enough liquids.

Yup, Geri is right. It's not about the calories. The caloric restriction will come on its own if you follow your plan. By the time I get my protein in for the day, I'll have somewhere between 600-800 calories in on average.
