Vitamin deficiencies

Has anyone else experienced a vitamin b1 or a vitamin d deficiencies? I just found out i had to increase the D to 5000u and the thiamine to a liquid for better absorption. Are there any foods that any of your found helpful long term to prevent it from happening in the future?

They do blood tests to check your levels. Testing for vitamin D is very common but you have to ask to have your calcium levels or b12 checked.

I guess it depends on the physician because my lab report was 5-6 pages long and both were included

Right. I had my surgery done in Mexico, so I go to my pcp for tests. A bariatric doctor would know what needs to be monitored.
