Hello everyone. I'm 6 weeks post-op and have a horrible cold. I'm wondering if there's any over-the-counter medications anyone knows of that are safe to take? My doc is out of town & I've been sick for 3 days already.. I'm worried about the alcohol & sugar in a lot of the OTC meds.. Thanks!

I'm pre-op but have a sore that today and was going to inquire about this myself. I'm windering what we can take at different stages of post-op. Also, if it feels different in any way to be sick after the sleeve.

I had a bad cold that time too and took what I needed to. NyQuil and the doc gave me some cough medicine with codine in it:)

I had a cold in the 3rd week out, and I talked to my Dr. who said I could take most meds without problem but to avoid the ones with the long term time releases like the meds you only have to take once a day. Personally I have used Mucinex and Nyquil/Dayquil. Good Luck.
