How many carbs are you allowed?

I am still on Stage 2 Protein shakes (and can't WAIT to eat real food!!!) I was reading through my manual from the surgeon's office, and until I have reached 75% of my weight loss, I'm allowed 400-600 calories a day, 3 meals a day, no Snacks, 60-80 grams of protein a day, and 5 carbs per meal.....so a maximum of 15 carbs a day. Is everyone else's plan this strict? I know surgeons are different but it seems my plan is super strict. I'm not allowed rice, Pasta, bread, crackers, Cereal, potatoes, Beans, etc at all until 75% weight loss. If I am going to be able to eat such a small amount, are these foods (in moderation) really going to slow things down?

I dont focus on how much carbs I am allowed anymore, I focus on making my carb choices more complex carb choices...and its keeping me regular

I am on the pre-diet and am allowed 40-50 net carbs a day.
