Is it ok to go alone?

First of all where are you going in Mexico? Some boarders are very safe to cross. I went to Dr. Aceves in Mexicali, Mexico and that is one of the safest boarders to cross. They have a drive who picked us up in San Diego and drove us. He was delightful. I went alone and ALWAYS felt safe. Suzanne

In general, you are pretty much always accompanied by someone on your surgeons staff, from being picked up at the hospital, the hotels, and being accompanied back to the airport. I always felt perfectly safe and comfortable.

Yes, you absolutely fine going alone. I cross the Mexican border regularly, even into the dreaded Juarez. You'll be fine.

Just don't stay in hostels cause we know what happens there!
