Quick question before going to the grocery store!

I had surgery on Nov. 12. Can I now have asparagus??? I don't have another appointment with my surgeon until Tuesday and asparagus sounds delicious tonight!

I don't see why not. You may want to try the canned version first since it's not as stringy fiberous and see how you handle that.

I was done Nov 7th, and I'm giving anything healthy a try - in small amounts. See how you go and let us know :)

As others have said asparagus is very fibrous. You are 8 weeks out, if you tolerate many foods well then give a little a try.

I've been eating cooked asperagus and I was sleeved a month after you. Just make sure it's cooked thoroughly.
