All of the above....and in the south, especially in Texas, Vanity rules. Even women like me, who had no health issues, choose to have 85% of our stomach's removed. We're tired of fighting to maintain

I'm an RN who recently had VSG on 11/16. I'm making a poster about bariatric surgery. Part of the poster is about why people have weight loss surgery. I thought of few things, but if anyone has something I can add or research I'd love to hear.
Here is what I have so far:
Why choose weight loss surgery?
1. 95% of diets fail leading to wt regain or increased weight
2. Resolution of comorbidities: sleep apnea, diabetes, joint pain, depression, mobility issues etc
3. Difficult to treat obesity without surgery as a tool due to addiction to food, social& physical barriers to losing weight
4. Cost of obesity: extra medical expenses, food costs
5. Improvement in mood, energy, & interpersonal relations
6. Increases life span& allows for a more active life
Thanks guys!
