Feeling full?

I was sleeved on December 18th and have done very well. I got into the habit of weighing myself every day which I now know was a mistake. Today when I weighed myself it showed I gained a pound and I was disappointed and confused. I'm getting my protein in (55-70 per day). In fact I'm so focused on the protein I have not really been having too much of the other items my doc has allowed at this point. I have had soup 2 times and mashed potatoes a couple of times. Here is my issue.... I am no longer feeling full for as long. I can drink more now than I could (can drink 8-11 oz in 30 minutes when before could only tolerate 3-4 in same period). Any thoughts or suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? Just feeling out of sorts. Maybe it is because I am more healed but would like to hear from others.

  • Feel free to weigh yourself every day, I do, but I only record the weight once a week. Your body fluctuates a lot throughout a day so it's just not accurate. As for feeling full you will get that once

Nicole-I definitely am sipping. To be honest I don't think I could gulp even if I wanted to. Anything going down too fast creates pressure and discomfort so I am hoping I am creating a sipping habit before I heal too much. I have been extremely careful about not drinking and eating anything at the same time. That is very different but not that difficult to get used to. Thanks for the advice!

Hi,

I know its easy to get use to, the discomfort helps lol. I saw stars when I took too big of a sip of milk. After that I sip sip sip lol... Trust me I use to drink a 16oz of water or juice is one gulp. Sometimes I miss it but I remember the pain and discomfort. I was so nervous and maybe a tad neurotic that i asked my nutritionist to show me how to sip. lol... I was convinced I was sipping too much. I think alot of it is all in our heads and we have never been down this road before so its all new and new experiences! Happy sipping! lol
