Yes, not a fan. Coming out tomorrow at 9 days post op.

I have one it is a pain. i will have mine removed on friday.

I know my doctor uses them for all his patients for about a week postop.

Havent had surgery yet, what is a JP drain?

Havent had surgery yet' date=' what is a JP drain?[/quote']

It is a grenade looking contraption attached to a tube that goes inside one of your incisions. It takes out puss and blood and you need to empty it daily. My doc leaves it in a week or so. I get it out tomorrow. They also have you drink grape juice or something and if the contents of your drain turn that color it means you have a leak.

Thank you for the explanation. Lots of abbreviations here and sometimes I can't figure them out....lol
