Is this normal :/

I'm five days out today and a little confused. At check in I was 269, when I came home I was 275ish and this morning I was 271. Is this normal? I know it takes a while for the post op swelling to go down but seriously I thought there would be some weight loss by now. What I've ate this past week compared to the old me my stomach woulda thought my throat got cut! I guess I thought I'd see some results by now. I'm not hungry but when my family eats I think " I should be eating" and the smell of food makes my mouth water and I want to taste and chew it but I'm not hungry. Also I feel like I can take in a lot of water per hour. Where should I be now...HELP!!

Yup, it took me almost a week to lose the weight I put on in the two days I was in the hospital. Pre-op I lost 30 pounds. I put on 15 pounds of water weight in just two days from surgery.

I think that everybody is different , I have heard that some people see results after the swelling , also some scales are so off , on my 2 week appointment the scale at home said 210 then my doctor scale said 216 . Right after my surgery I bought a scale and would step on it everytime I went to the bathroom , some mornings i was 210 , 215 and for 2-3 weeks those numbers never changed.

I decided that I going to weight myself only once a week and not everyday.Today my scale said 205 . I know that you are eager to see results ( Just like me ) but dont make yourself crazy with the scale , just do what you have to do and take your mind away from your sleeve.I was sleeved Nov 13 , 2012 . My start weight was 237 , I am 205 ( so my scales says lol )

Also remember that you might lose inches before you start to see it reflect on the scale , I know that I lost more inches than actaul weight ... I wore a size 20 - 22 , my tops were 1 - 2 x .... I can easily wear a XXL top from old navy , and wear 18 size jeans and 16 on some dress strechable slacks. you will be fine and the weight will come off , just dont get obssesed with wanting to see results over night. Good luck

The wait gained in the hospital is usually more from the IV fluid they pump into you especially if you don't have a lot of urinary output. It will then take several days for your body to use or purge that excess fluid, then you should she a drastic decrease then loss will go to a more normal pattern.
