1 Week Post-Op - Am I drinking ok?

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this site. I just had my Sleeve done last Wednesday. I keep reading that everyone has problems drinking. I've seen some comments with people asking when they'll be able to pick up a bottle of water and chug it. I'm not having this problem. I can take 4 or 5 good sized drinks from a water bottle and it goes down fine. I can drink chicken broth the same way. Am I not supposed to be able to do this? I'm just wanting to make sure nothing is wrong.

I think a lot of people after their surgery have a lot of swelling going on with their stomach... which just further limits capacity. Maybe you don't... maybe your surgeon didn't cut you as small... I wouldn't think anything is wrong. I can take maybe 3-4 sips too. I had my surgery Nov 29th.

Thank you. That makes me feel better. I'm trying to do everything my surgeon tells me to so I get the most out of this and I worry about doing anything wrong.

I'm the same way I don't have any issues drinking water at all. Sometime I wonder how much he actually cut out of my stomach! lol I'm hoping to do everything right too I'm going to ask the doctor at my next appointment.
