Hello

My name is Fran and I was banded by Dr. Kwon on August 30,2006 in Port Jervis. I had been turned down from two insurance companies so I self paid. To date I have lost 41 pounds and am happy. It is not easy and I realize that the band is a tool and I have to constantly watch what I eat. I am grateful for this forum, and anticipate making many new friends.

Hello Fran and welcome,

I know what you mean about insurance. I have bc/bs Anthem and my husband and I pay 619.00 per month and they wouldn't cover so I was self pay, but, it was the best decision of my life. Don't you just love your band. I would part with my cell phone, satellite, and dog before my band, LOL. Welcome.

Hi Fran, welcome to LBT. I was self pay too. Darn BC/BS of Florida, why do we even have it??? Anyways, it sounds like you are doing great so far, congrats!
