There are some things you can do while waiting.

Find out the requirements needed by your insurance company. Gather documents if you need them keep on hand. I had some delays in the beginning when did not go consecutive months Due to scheduling conflicts.

They were also slow too scheduling me. I spoke up to my program people. From then on I got my appointments faster. So be pro active as much as you can.
