I have been looking into wls for years; when I was 18 I was up to the point of scheduling a surgery date for the lapband but ended up losing my insurance before I could get it done. Now, at 25 I am finally ready to take the plunge again. After finding this site through a local hospital I have decided that vsg is for me (after lurking for quite a long time!).

Tomorrow I go in and finally start my journey of wls...again. But this time I won't be backing out, for any reason! Hopefully soon I will be thin, fit, and healthier than I have ever been!

My Doctor agreed that wls is the way to go for me and will support me the whole way! I've gotten the go ahead to visit a surgeon for a consult which I'll do ASAP. I'm so excited to start this journey, and I'm so happy to have found this forum. =)
