Is Tightness In Throat Normal?

I had my sleeve done on November 5th. My concern is from day one of my surgery, I've experienced a "tightness" in my throat. At first I thought it was from drinking too fast but I wake up in the morning with the same feeling. I also had a hiatal hernia repair with my sleeve. I'm beginning to get concerned as to what is causing this and whether or not it will go away.

Ask your surgeon, that is what he should be aware of.

Thanks, I will. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Dianaw I was sleeved on 11/19 and am experiencing the same thing; I was told that it's because our sleeve is still swollen so it would give us that tight feeling...I also had a hiatal hernia repair so that makes it a little worse...I think you''ll be fine...it''ll take some time for that swelling to go away...obviously if you''re still uncomfortable, go ahead and make contact with your surgeon....
