So my boyfriend of almost eight years and we have a almost 6 yearold daughter decides to break up with me 2 days before my my surgery, right about 2 hours after telling me that he would be taking me to the hospital and waiting there with me durring my procedure. this is just great!! At first u was so sad but shortly after i realized He's actually doing me a favor because the last thing I wanted to hear was that as soon as I lost the weight I dumped him for someone else or that I changed..... Well the truth I'm changing I'm finally gonna think about me and put me first it's just to bad he's to dumb t realize he just lost the bat thing he ever had!!

You are so right you are to good for someone like that u need someone who's going to stick around in hard times at least he could have waited until after your surgery I mean u are the mother if his child guys really disgust me sometimes he will be begging you back once u lose the weight and he realizes what he's lost!

Thanks, I don't understand so many men have done this to women right before or after WLS.....one thing I'm sure of is this is the last draw!!! I've been there for him for so many things that any normal person would of ran screaming and have forgiven him for many things also, not that he's done to me personally but just stuff that has happened as a result of being with him and this is the one thing I won't forgive it's cruel and selfish... Thank god and my mom I am very INDEPENDENT!! It would of been nice to have his support and physical help for the next few days but I will manage

Aw that stinks! When you lose and start really taking care if yourself you will have the confidence and insight to realize that you and your daughter both deserve better than you've settled for.

Seems to me that he's afraid of you getting confident. Like he was banking on you being under his thumb for all eternity, until he realized you were going to lose weight and feel good about yourself. Boohoo
