What Am I Doing Wrong?

I am 2 weeks post op. I drink sugar free drinks throughout the day as well as some sf pudding, yogurt and jello. My doc said to start purees. Everytime I try something new I'm terribly sick and vomit. Eggs made me sick, a little mashed potato made me sick as well as very thin oatmeal. Am I doing this wrong? Am I eating the wrong things? Feeling down...

I wouldn't say you're doing anything "wrong"....I'd say your sleeve isn't quite ready for pureed food yet. Try going another week on full liquids, and then try a little something thicker again. My f

what kind of soup? How did you prepare it? Thank you!!!!

I am not partial to can soup. I got viloently ill in 2003 from canned soup, and I will never eat it again.

I buy the soups that are in the deli section of the grocery store. They are more expensive, but the shelf life is shorter. I would wait until they were buy one get one. Then I just throw it in a blender and voila...soup puree. I blended it really well. I would heat it up first. I basically did that to all the soups I liked. Then when the time came I finally started eating the soup regularly, but that was 5 to 6 weeks out. Then maybe at month 3 is when I tried tuna. But it didn't sit well with me so I stuck with soups...as you can see I love soup! I still love soup!

Great! It feels so good when it doesn't make you feel sick! That is a good sign! :)
