How Bad Is It?

I am backed up! Have taken stool softener pills, mirlax, fiber, fiber gummy, laxative tea, prune juice, enemas, n suppositories and haven't had a good movement in about a month...not in pain, a little comes out but not a lot. Just lots of gas!! Lots! Also haven't lost any weight n a month, am around 20 weeks out? What to do???? N think no weight loss because backed up?

One time I made the mistake of eating one of those Atkin's low carb candy bars, they have lots of sugar alcohol in them and it had me running to the bathroom the whole night. Maybe try one of those. If I ever get backed up I will eat one of those. Also I use what thing called a "squatty potty". It lifts your knees up really high and it helps you poop in a more natural position. My husband thinks I'm crazy for using it but my butt is thankful :)

When we have bathroom issues at my house I make a batch of steel cut oats. You can get them at most grocery stores these days and you cook them on the stove top. They are amazing. My cousin told me they have changed her life! Lol. I read a long time ago that we should have "satisfying bowel movements". I didn't get what they meant until we started with the steel cut oats! Hope you find them helpful!

I take two fiber gummies and 800 mg magnesium every day. The magnesium is a supplement you can find at the grocery or pharmacy. I started with 400 mg magnesium, but 800 is what works for me. I no longer have any issues with constipation.

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I wrote them all down! I ended up going the other day, I took 3 dulcolax every night for 3 nights...but it got the job done and I finally felt so much better. Just don't want to become laxative dependent so i am def. going to try these.

PS-squatty potty?? That is hilarious, i have never heard of that, I am going to google it. Lord knows I could use all the help I can in the br...
