Had the gastric sleeve done 4 days ago. I am starving all day. Is this possible? All others that I have spoken to say that they are so full even after water.. Hope all went well with my surgery.

Nope your not nuts. I was sleeved on Monday and since Thursday I swear I was starving to death! LOL. Now today it is "different" we really aren't hungry, I think we have been so predisposed to eating at the first sign of emptiness in our tummies and to snack whenever we wanted, that we are confusing the two. I tortured myself Thurs and Friday by watching FoodNetwork all day long. I figured I would try to desensitize myself by overloading. I'm trying to wrap my head around it being "ok" for everyone else to be able to eat and for me to be able to cook for them - but I forgo it all.

We did it at bad time of year, I think, but better now than later. Listen to your body not your head and then it will all make sense. Good luck!

Are you taking an acid reducer? Many people report feeling hungry but it's acid and when they take an acid reducer, things get better.

I'm hungry too and im 4 days out. I wasn't at first. The nausea was very bad the first two days so I didn't have time to feel hunger. Now though its hitting me. I think it's going to be like that until we get to more solid food. Liquids run right through the sleeve so it's hard to tell. I started full liquids and noticed a little more fullness then on clears. I feel your pain hang in there with me!

I started getting hungry on day 5. The hunger came on fast and strong. I hope you all are stronger than me during that time because I started eating regular food to soon and it wasnt healthy food either. I pushed my little tummy to the max for the next 3-4weeks. I am very lucky I didn't get a leak. the last couple of weeks I got back on track and I haven't been as hungry. Even the smallest amount of carbs can really trigger the hunger. This is such a radical change for us but hang in there because it can get better and our self control gets stronger with every good choice we make :) Best wishes to all of you!
