Does anyone else have their ports placed on the right side? I was banded on Fri. and I just noticed this today. I was wondering why my Dr. decided to switch sides?! It's not a big deal or anything; it just wasn't what I expected.

If anyone has this-do you know why?

Mine is on the right side, too. As far as I know, that is where my surgeon places them.

I'm a lefty. Maybe it has to do with where the surgeon stands in relation to the patient ?? I've seen video where the surgeon would be positioned at the patients side and I've also seen where the surgeon is positioned between the patients legs. It is curious.

I'm a righty and I think all of my surgeons patients are righties.

Mine is smack-dab in the middle.............right under my bra line which drives me insane!!!!!!!
