Hallowsleevers: 10/31/2012 Surgery Updates

I had my gastric sleeve on Halloween. I am pretty damned hungry on this Liquid diet. I have one more full day before I can go to full liquids, which I will be on for 2 weeks, and then pureed for 2 weeks..How is everyone else doing? I am down 8 pounds since surgery.

pre-op here, but I'm pretty jealous of your most awesome surgery date ever! ;)

how are you feeling? are you back to work yet?

No. Not even close to going back...I had my overgrown spleen removed as well...may be 8 weeks.

I too was sleeved on Halloween. When I checked in early that morning, I noticed that pretty much everyone was wearing a costume. The pre-op nurse explained however, that they (everyone working pre-op, surgery, or recovery) had been told that they weren't allowed to wear angel or devil costumes!!! LOL

I'm down a little over 5 lbs since I had surgery, but I8 lbs total since I started my pre-op on 10/11.

I have two more weeks of liquids and am doing fine. I'm not hungry and I'm able to drink as much as I want. I feel great, I'm walking twice a day for 20-30 minutes, and I'm even sleeping pretty well!!

So far, so good.....

I was moved a few days because of Sandy but had surgery on Friday. I am doing great. Down a total of 20 pounds since pre-op and just discovered a heating pad helps a LOT with the gas and bloating! Otherwise, no complaints switching to full liquids today and fell good minus a little energy and still some soreness and bloating.
