Hello everyone! Had surgery on the 29th everything went well. Due to hurricane sandy the hospital and surrounding areas lost power so I had to stay an extra night. It's only been a couple of days but everyday it gets better. The gas pains are no JOKE! I've also been struggling to get all my liquids in. I will keep you all updated

I am 3 days post op too. They released me from hospital but offered for me to stat another night. Hospital staff so short handed I wanted to go home so I would gave more personal care.

I'm feeling good... def gassy and sore. Trying to get all my fluids and Protein in, you? Also they didn't give me a leak test after surgery because machine was not working or expected to be working in near future -- that really concerned me but my surgeon said I was ok.

I'm two days post op I feel sore I'm walking around getting my water in, I have no appetite lol

I have no appetite as well and the smell of food makes me sick lol. I was also unable to do the leak text because of the power being out. Make sure you both keep me updated and good luck!

I have no appetite either! lol It's easier for me to get fluids in then Protein. GAS X STRIPS were my best friend the first two weeks after surgery. Happy to hear that you are doing well! Don't be too hard on yourself regarding getting all your liquids down- it's tough,I remember taking a sip and having to wait at least 10 minutes before I could take a sip again. Now I am 2 months out and can take two gulps down at a time. So it will get easier.
