I am 3 days post op too. They released me from hospital but offered for me to stat another night. Hospital staff so short handed I wanted to go home so I would gave more personal care. I'm feeling good... def gassy and sore. Trying to get all my fluids and Protein in, you? Also they didn't give me a leak test after surgery because machine was not working or expected to be working in near future -- that really concerned me but my surgeon said I was ok.- Water Retention
Thank you so much ladies! It's like I know the answer but hearing it from others makes it real for me. I am sip sip sipping and getting my protein in...and this is where my focus should be. Thanks again!- Water Retention
Thank you so much for replying. Do you recall when the fluid made its way out and you actually saw the scale move?- Water Retention
I had my surgery Monday 730 am. I have not stepped on scale until today. I am up about 10 lbs today since my weigh in before surgery. This has to be water weight! All I have is recommended fluid and protein intake. Has anyone else had this happen to them?- Newbie - Surgery Scheduled For October

Hi! I'm an October Sleever. My surgery date is October 29th. I'm 43 yrs old, 44 on October 8th. I am 5'10 352lbs. I am both excited about my new journey and nervous. However, I've never been so sure of my decision to have this surgery. This surgery will be the best birthday gift of my life. I am so happy to have found this forum -- it's wonderful. By the way, I can't wait to take a picture of myself and not crop out my body! :-)- Newbie - Surgery Scheduled For October
