Smoking

Well, my surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, October 31, 2012 and I have been very nervous so I smoked a cigarette. Do they have a way to check nicotine the day of surgery? I do not want that to stop me from getting the surgery.

  • I am not sure about that I am sorry. I would assume you are still getting a small dose. It just depends on how your surgeon is. I can't have any nicotine in my system.

My surgery was yesterday as well no nicotine test. They have us give them a urine sample for pregnancy test and that's it and then the anesthesiologist put the IV in so you should be good. Good luck!!!

Thanks guys! I'm getting mine done south of the border. Any info down there? I'm not trying to cheat but am not ready to give up the champ ex or nicorette yet lol
