4 Days Post-Op

If I have to drink one more protein shake I'm going to lose it! I never thought I'd crave carrots, but I'm longing for something I go an actually feel in my mouth. I'm 4 days post op and doing ok. Like a lot of you, I'm having a hard time getting my two protein shakes in. I'm focusing on liquid count so that I don't get dehydrated. Now this is kind of yucky, but I've yet to have a BM. Last one was Tuesday. Is that normal. I was also feeling a little blue today thinking I'll never be able to enjoy a real meal again, but I keep telling myself that I will eventually be able to eat real food, just in much smaller portions. I've seen some of you post that your all liquid diet allows cream soups and pudding. Is that something I could add. I think this would be so much easier if I could add something savory. I've never been much of a sweet tooth so the sugary sweet shakes are really annoying.

Have you tried Unjury chicken soup? I had one of those a day to switch things up. It was quite tasty and a lifesaver!

I love unjury Chicken soup ! i just started my pre-op diet and i drink one of these a day. Drinking something warm makes me feel like I ate a meal.

My post OP all liquid diet allows for fat free/sugar free pudding. I add a scoop of my protein powder in it. It is pretty good, and helps me eat all my protein. I can also have the low fat cream soups, strained. I mix with milk, and then add 1/3 cup of dry milk for 8 more gr. Protein. I want to buy some unjury unflavored to add to the soups, but have not yet. Definitely check, but if you are not on all clears, then this should be okay. Im 6 days post op, and following my dr. Instructions to the letter!

Good luck
