Got Some Good News Today!

had my second opinion today regarding my barrett's esophagus diagnosis and found out that he and my surgeon spoke prior to my appointment today (big plus in my book).

the new dr today is 99% sure that i do not have barrett's and that i should still be able to get the surgery (YAY!!!). he said, which i also read online, that you can usually see barrett's visually and not just by biopsy. he and the surgeon both reviewed my pictures and the 2nd opinion dr said i should be able to go ahead with it. he is going to redo the egd just to make sure. so i am scheduled to have that november 19th.

i'm trying to not get too excited yet as i still have to jump through this hoop but its looking promising :).

thanks all just had to share.
