I received my first letter of approval from my insurance last week. I have already had the nutrition class, psych eval and EGD. My sleep study is scheduled for Tuesday. For those of you who have a surgery date scheduled, what is next in this process. I know all doctors and insurance require different things but in general what else do I need to get done besides get the 2nd letter of approval from my insurance? Were y'all required to get any blood work done or any other testing before you could actually set a surgery date? I am just anxious to get a date scheduled so I will know when to start my 2 week pre op liquid diet. Any information would be helpful!

Hello,

After I got my surgery date I had to get blood work done, chest x-ray and. EKG. I also had to get a medical clearance letter from my primary doctor.

I have a surgery date and I am going to do my sleep study tomorrow night. I also am required to do blood work, EKG, Edg ( i think that is the correct acronym), pre op class, and pre op appt. My surgery date is December 20.
