I was sleeved on December 18 with Dr. Jay! I really like Dr. Jay and am going for my 6 week appt. on Monday! So far I have lost 33 pounds....67 lbs to go!

Your dr. Was no doubt rude! You said you have been working out and your clothes fit better, so the scale may not be showing it but ur body is! Remember that your are exercising to tone and build muscle and muscle weighs too! Just think of it as getting rid of fat and replacing it with muscle! Keep up the good work!

I was sleeved on December 18, I was supposed to be December 20 but my dr. pushed it back two days! The first day was the hardest for me because they left me in recovery for 8 HOURS!!!! They would not let my family come back to see me but three times. It wasn't neccessary for me to be in recovery that long, they just didn't have a room for me! That was the worst! I felt alone, out of control, pain, confusion, etc......then when they got me a room, it was semi-private and my family didn't have a place to sleep!!! So, I was alone again all night but it wasn't as bad because my family calmed me down before I feel asleep! Since then I've been up and going and doing great! I was very lucky to not have experienced gas pain! For my Vitamins I am supposed to start Flinstone chewables 1 week out! I'm having a really hard time getting my Protein in! The Protein shakes are just yucky and don't sit right on my tummy! I do like the chicken broth by

Well I received a call today from my surgeons office and they have moved my surgery up to Tuesday, December 18! Very stressful because I don't like change on major things! I know it is all part of God's plan though!

I'm a teacher too!!! My date is 12/20/12! I had my EGD on 11/30 and it went really smooth! Nothing to it! Good luck! We all need to keep each other posted!!!

Mrs Gina I feel the exact same way! I've lost weight before and when the compliments flowed in, it's was determinal because I stopped putting out the effort!

Bless your heart! I'm sorry to hear about your breast cancer. I know you want your WLS but the most important thing is to get yourself cancer free! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I too was worried about the procedure and it was nothing to worry about! I had mine last Friday and I went shopping after the procedure...all day! I was a little groggy but my mom and I had fun shopping! No worries! Lay back relax and enjoy the sleep! :-)

I told my surgeon what my goal was and he said that was very achievable! He said I should be able accomplish it within a year! I want to lose 100 lbs.

I'm getting more obessed by the day! I'm a teacher, so I'm doing this over my Christmas break....I have until January 7 to recover and then it's back to the classroom! I think my pre-op diet should start December 13 but I will meet with surgeron prior that week for my pre-op appointment. I did my EGD last Friday morning and it was no big deal...I was nervous about that but I got through it with no problem! HW - 232 CW- 228

It has hit me at times but I don't think it really has hit me yet! It is a crazy good thing we have decided to do for ourselves! I know most of us are givers so this is a big step to do something for ourselves! :-) good luck!

My husband doesn't want me to have the surgery either but knows that when I put my mind to something, I'm committed! Both my mom and grandma will be my support system along w a few friends that have been sleeved and my VST family! I love this website! I wish you well Wednesday with your surgery! My surgery is scheduled for December 20. My insurance approved me in a week! I have to undergo another sleep study this week (because my first study identified me w severe sleep apnea), also have my Egd scheduled for this Friday, pre op appt. And then surgery. This month will hopefully go by fast!!!
