Dry Lips

Has anyone experienced persistent dry lips post surgery? I am 4 months out and still have them. I am concerned because this is something that I never had before. They were severe for a long time and are a little better now. What causes this?

    Lack of water can cause this. I notice dry lips during winter months. Have you been using chapstick?
