Can't Decide

I've been reading posts for a while and I still can't decide if this is right for me. I've had DM 2 for 15 years and now on insulin. I'm hoping if I do this, I can get off insulin. There has not been alot of research that I have found for this. My bmi is 34. I want to healthy like everybody else here. Any words of wisdom?

From what I've heard, most with diabetes are able to come off their medicine almost immediately after having the sleeve.

I would pursue it - The sleeve has been amazing for me.

My surgeon said those on insulin for a long time will take a little longer to resolve their diabetes. I was on the max out dose of metformin and insulin every other day. My diabetes resolved by my 6 week check-up.

Thanks for your replies. How many years have you had diabetes though? Did you resolve due to weight loss or just from the surgery itself?
