Problem With Chafing And Bike Riding.

I have a recumbent exercise bike. I have been doing well on it but have hit a problem. I am having chafing and skin problems in my groin area ( where my legs meet my torso). It isn't heat rash. I thought it might be due to wearing loose clothing. I am trying to find biking shorts that fit. I have some on order and they are due soon. I have tried powder and washing and changing immediately after working out. Has anyone else had this problem? It is getting so that it is uncomfortable even if I am not riding my bike. Any ideas would be welcome. Due to health issues, riding my bike is my best exercise option. I wouldn't be able to do as much if I tried walking.

Thanks!

This is the BEST stuff ever for chub rub! And I read on a beauty blog to use it as a make-up primer.

I was watching Dr Oz today and he recomemened rubbing deodorant on the area that chaff before starting to exercise.

this is specifically for bike riders - my husband does a 400 mile ride - http://store.aerotec...CFYs7Mgod4yQARQ

you can get it locally (bike store) and it’s very cheap -

good luck

(you can try it out for .80 -- can’t beat that!!!)

any store that has an athletic department will sell chaffing sticks - looks kinda like deoderant and works wonders!

There is a new product on the market for chafing skin. Its a body wrap worn like a secure bandaid on the skin called Chafeaway. They sell it on Chafeaway.com and Ebay, amazon etc, There are a few different sizes and you can cut them to the size you need. Its non-latex so its comfortable on the skin and smooth to the touch. Check it out it will solve the chafing problems. There slogan is Wear it where it hurts.
