Post-Op Big Belly

Ok, so seriously....

I am 1 week post-op and my belly is looking like I am 7 months pregnant. It looks bigger than before my surgery and I understand that swelling is normal but how long till I lose this "baby" bump thing? Anyone else have/had this issue?

It took me a little over a week to start seeing it go down. Between swelling, IV fluids and gas they really do a number on you!

  • Took a good two weeks for my belly swelling to go down! But it did and has continued to deflate with the weight loss!!!!!

  • Yes..it takes a couple of weeks, but then it will be pretty dramatic. I remember the first time I looked down and realized my boobs were bigger than my belly!! Don't worry.
