Getting Nervous

I guess having pre-surgical testing today made everything seem so real. It's hard to explain but I think my nerves are kicking in. I wonder, can I really do this? I know I will try my very best but for example I'm on day 4 of my 2 week pre op liquid diet and I'm feeling easily fatigued. I don't have anyone who can accompany me in the hospital during my stay and with this surgery I would have appreciated it. I've lost 5 pounds in 4 days. I will have my family be there for the surgery and when I get discharged.

I can understand you getting nervous! I am too, and my sleeve date is Nov 6th. How come you have no one to go with you to the hospital? Won't some friend, or family member go with you? I'm very fortunate that I have a loving husband of 35 years that will be with me. I could not imagine going through this without him, and his support. I think it's normal to be nervous though. Everyone I've talked to that is pre-op says they are nervous. So know you're not alone in feeling that way. :) You can do this! Just keep telling you self, I know I can, I know I can, I can do this! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. We can be each other's support team. :D Kathy Tyler

It is a big decision, so it is scary. I tried to save all my nerves for the day of the surgery. I was scared and I really thought I would chicken out. It was sooo not as bad as you think it will be and I would do it again in a heartbeat. DOnt get me wrong, it is not the easiest thing to do in the world but it is very doable. You've got this dont worry!! It is sooo worth it.
