October 15Th Checking In....

I am home, tired and sore. Feel like a sumo wrestler kicked me in my belly ;) My gas pains come and go and are centered right at my diaphragm which kind of sucks...makes burping painful, but then gives great relief :) So far today, I have gotten about 10 ozs of water and about 10 ozs of a protein shake. Trying to dutifully take a sip every 5 minutes or so of one or the other. Managed to get all of my meds down too. I am periodically pacing around the house for 15-20 minute intervals which is definitely helping with the gas.

The morphine in the hospital kicked my butt. Made me nauseated every time I hit the button, so therefore, did not hit that button unless I could not stand it any longer. They finally let me do the liquid Lortab which was much better. I've only taken 2 1/2 doses of it here at home. It knocks me out, so I get in less fluids and protein if I take it. I feel the pain is better than not getting in what I need.

I think I am going to take a nap now. Been up for about 3 hours and am pretty tired. Hoping all of my fellowing 15th'ers are hanging in there.
