It is most likely the gas. But may be something else. I am about 6 months out and when I eat too quickly or drink too quickly (or too much) I get a strange pain in my left shoulder/collarbone area. It is very reminiscent of the gas pains I experienced after surgery.

If you are still under a week out, I wouldn't worry too much about it being more than gas. If it is extremely painful or you are worried, just call. It never hurts to be cautious!

I had trapped gas pain in my left shoulder for 3 days postop and then it went away. Very painful.
