Weigh More After Surgery

I understand that you gain weight while at the hospital due to the IV fluids they have you on; however, I was wondering at what point post-op should you see that weight start coming off and losing weight? Also, what is a normal amount of weight loss at the one week post-op visit?

Not trying to compare myself to anyone, just curious....

Do they weigh you right after surgery ?

I've been on full fluids since yesterday and have lost 8 lbs post op (sleeved 10/3) I definitely gained weight after the surgery because of the gas, fluids, bed rest, and no bm. After you release the gas and pee out all the fluids, and start walking, the weight begins to come off. I think all 8 lbs came off of my neck and face.
