September 25 Sleevers! How You Doing?

I'm post op day 1 today and doing great! Dr Alvarez did my surgery. All my caregivers have been great! Getting scheduled meds for pain (torodol) & zofran for nausea. Small bit of pain at largest incision - sharp twinge when I move funny. Started ice chips this am - yummy!! Very happy so far with the whole experience!

How are you other 9/25 sleevers doing?

I was sleeved on 9/24. Most of the pain is abdominal and in my shoulders because of the gas. It feels better when I stand or walk. Sitting is a chore. Feel it's almost impossible to get my protein or water down. Have lots of acid reflux too. But, I vacuumed this morning, put in laundry and swept the kitchen floor. Some things never change

I was home yesterday and doing very well. Pain is being managed very well, looking to interchange the pain meds with liquid tylenol tomorrow. No nausea after the first day, and I'm able to move around.

My surgeon Dr. Jones and all the staff were awesome. A great first (and hopefully last) hospital visit.

I'm still on liquids but not able to get much in - my Water, a little juice and half a SF popsicle today.
