Meal Planning Advice

I've been on my pre-op diet for a whole two days now, and the big challenge seems to be planning and timing my "meals". I want to have a plan in place before I get back to eating "real" food. Any tips/strategies/worksheets to share?

Hello,

My doctor gave me a good planning sheet, but now that I have only been home from the surgery 2 1/2 days the food prep is almost overwhelming to me. (I'm not a cooker.) Yesterday I did a lot of research on the web and came across this document that I think is excellent.

Most important advise regarding planning is to find a Protein powder or drink that you like.

Good luck!!

Your post op diet is totally different than your pre op. Agree with the poster you says you need to find a protein powder that you like. You will be consuming shakes for quite a while. You may want to get soups, yogurt, jello and pudding these you will also be consuming in the beginning.
