Upset Stomach :(

Woke up with a gnarly stomach ache this morning and it's not going away. I'm hoping it's just "I need to go" but it's worrisome. I'm at 8 weeks post op so ordinarily I shouldn't be having nausea should I?

No, probably just caught a bug or something. Did you introduce any new foods?

I don't believe so. Lots of rumbling, burping and u know, etc... I had to leave work because the nausea was too much.

Call my surgeon? Just for an upset stomach?

I would. I use to work for Bariatric surgeons... and got phone calls like this all the time. I would say "I am 8 weeks out and am concerned about this stomach ache" then they can keep it in your records as well.

It may just be a bug, but never hurts to let your surgeon know youre concerned. Were you sleeved in the US?

Yes I was sleeved in the US. I will let them know. Can't hurt that's for sure. I'm hoping it's just something basic, thanks for the reply.

It probably is, I guess for me my first thought was call your surgeon when you said there was nausea. Throwing up post-op can do a number on your new stomach.

I hope you're ok! Keep us updated!

Not to be too TMI but do you think you might be constipated. Sometimes, you can get that feeling when you are backed up!!

I still can get nauseous if my Vitamins don't sit well or new foods (but you said that isn't the case for you this time).

I am 3 months post op and found myself feeling a bit nauseaus for the past two days after I eat even the smallest amount of food. I have no pain associated with this. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I have nausea and gas often I am 2 months PO. I take prilosec still for this issue, did your doc give that to you after surgery?
