How Do/did You Go About Verifying Your Dr's Credentials?

I am about to hit the send button to book my flights for Mex in December. Having surgery with Dr.Ponce and although I have been actively doing my research , I would like to be EXTRA confident and sure. So how do we verify their actual lisence and verify that they are an actual bariatric surgeon?

That's a good question. Unless they are a member of F.A.C.S. (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) it may be hard. A few of the MX doctors are members I believe so you can check their credentials.

Only way I can think of ask for their license number than google where to verify medical licenses in MX. Most of these doctors are legit. Too much evidence and proof through videos and pictures documentation. If they were not the secret would be out by now. I know I will go to a MX doctor. I just need to choose one. I can be very indecisive.

Thanks....I am sure I am going to go with Dr. Ponce, I am just really nervous and want to make sure I am making the right decision for me and my family (children & hubby). Just a bag of nerves...annnd since I am doing it right before christmas (due to the only time I have off) I want to make sure I dont ruin the holiday for them. I know I am just freaking out a bit :/

It's understandable. Right now I'm still processing, researching and trying to make the right choice for me. I'm over analysis everything so it takes me longer to reach decisions and get certain things done. I bet your family want what's best for you and I'm sure that is for a overall more healthy you. Nerves is normal and ok. You already know what you need, you just have to reach for it.

So excited for you! Glad that I was some help. I rarely offer advice or comment on most topics because I have not been sleeved yet but I knew I could attribute to this issue.

Dr ponce de leon is a great choice. Im leaning in his direction. December seem so far off. I would feel the same way. Please continue to keep is updates.
