Approved Fed Bcbs!

Ot without a hurdle or two... But I am approved for surgery and one night stay(?) anywho cant wait to get my date tomorrow!

I suppose if they need extra time they will fax for approval. At least the surgery is approved. Heck' date=' I'll go home the same day at this point ( i know i'll eat my words, lol)

Yeah! I had a hiccup though. I broke down and called bcbs' date=' just to find out that the nurse reviewing my file was insisting on information that was either already sent or just unnecessary (wanted a second comorbidity which was NOT according to the plan brochure!) so I insisted on talking to a nurse. The nurse who answered was totally confused by the original nurses notes and approved it herself, once she saw all requirements were met!! So happy now!!

My surgery was approved as a day surgery (24 hours in hospital) but the surgeon said that's just an insurance hoop. I stayed a couple of nights. Insurance hoop or not, I refused to let somebody cut the majority of my stomach off and send me home 24 hours later.
