Thanks missminnie....im getting so nervous. Did you travel alone?

I was done there for a band removal in June and wii be there for my sleeve in December. I went alone and so did another gal. It's safe, comfortable and about the best experience you can imagine for abdominal surgery. Dr. A and Dr. Campos are great.

No my husband went with me but I could have done it alone. I flew from FL. My only suggestion would be to bring a snack of some kind so after your blood work is done you can eat something. I got a headache since I was up early traveling and you can't eat anything until ou have your test.

Dr Aceves is really good and so are his entire team. I hope you have an unevevntful surgery and recovery like I did.

I was very scared too but it is well worth it.

Thank you for the snack tip. Seems like the more i attempt to calm myself, the more i have the craziest thoughts! Im positive i will be fine! Thanks!!

I just got back from there! His staff is awesome and he is so skilled. You made a great choice. Feel free to PM me any questions you may have.

Don't be nervous, you're in good hands!

This really does a lot to make me feel better! Thank you! How are you feeling? Congratulations

Honestly, I feel great. The first couple of days were tough but they really baby you in the hospital. I hear about other sleevers getting surgery and being discharged the next day. I am so glad I had the extra days to relax and heal in the hospital. Went back to work today and all was well.

Wowww! Back to work today.. How was today at work?

I had surgery on 8/31 with Frza. Dr Aceves and his staff are incredible. I was pretty nervous but they were so nice and friendly it really calmed me down. I went by myself but met Frza on this board and she helped a lot. If she hadn't been there, I know I would have been fine. They were just outside my door and came in seconds when I buzzed them, There were several other people in different stages of recovery. I was really glad to stay in the hospital and my hospital bed for my recovery.

Ernesto picks you up at the baggage claim and Carla greets you at the door when you arrive at the hospital. I had no pain and went back to work 5 days after surgery with no problems. My scars are so tiny and neat. Excellent experience.

Good point Amy! Even if you go alone it's likely you make friend's there. I really enjoyed the camaraderie amongst the patients.

Work was fine today. I feel real ly good!

Glad to hear you're doing good. Just take it slow. I keep having problems where I feel so good I start doing too much activity and wear myself out. No pain or anything, just whupped. It's hard, I feel almost back to normal, but my body reminds me every now and then that it's still recovering.

I am getting sleeved by Dr. Aceves on 09/28, so I will be there when you get there :)
