  1. Ill be sure to report everything as soon as I leave. Dont want to leave anything out..my coworker had her surgery at the same office..consult less than a year ago and she can not offer any insight..she doesnt recall. To her defense things did move fast for her...but that still leaves me clueless.
  2. So it seemed like the 31st would never get here but here we are. Today i meet with the surgeons of BMI Surgery of New Lenox, IL. Im so nervous and anxious, im not sure what to expect. Any insight?
  3. Wooohooo! Congrats on such a big accomplishment!
  4. Congrats!! I'm just starting my process, first consult with surgeon is Aug 31st, going through UHC as well, can't wait to get news of an approval! Btw, I'm a nervous wreck now can't imagine how I will feel then. Good luck to you!!!
  5. Glad to hear everything went well and your doing well. Congrats and good luck on your journey!!!
  6. I was just discussing how the part most disturbing to me has to be the IV. I asked my mom would they numb the area, she said no however she is against it. So glad you were here to inform me. Thanks SpartanPower!
  7. Seem like you clearly used your context clues and was able to figure out what she meant. I dont see how your post was productive. Just sayin'
  8. Thank you for the responses ...Looks like I've officially started my process. Informational session was 8/8. Received a call 8/10 from the wls office stated that they received benefit info and its covered ( which i knew) the coordinator received the same benefit info i received. So I am scheduled for my consult on 8/31. Im so nervous, anxious, and excited all at the same time. So a coworker keeps reassuring me that she did not have any additional requirements from the ins co. Only three required tests by the surgeon. My only concern now it that i have been working out since April and have lost 17lbs which puts me at a bmi of 34... Of course i need a bmi of 35 with hypertension. I was thinking of putting my workout on pause until sept 1st. But this thought really scares me. So today while driving and my arms were aching due to arms workout yesterday, i thought maybe i should just work to build more muscle instead but we are talking a 5 lb difference. Wonder if that is even possible. I scheduled an appt for april 2012 before starting my workout and did not go, if i had i would not be in this situation. Anyhow, im glad to finally have the ball rolling on this.
