Eating Badly

Ok so please don't judge me on this. I know I cannot be the only one... Does anyone out there find themselves eating anything they want prior to surgery and pre op diet? I logically know my eating habits will have to change entirely- therefore I am like oh yea let me have a bowl of ice cream with hot fudge- better have all the goodies now while I still can! However I definitely feel icky from doing this for a few weeks. Just want some reassurance other folks have gone through this.

  • I've been eating well daily but I AM doing my "Farewell Tour of Food" at my favorite restaurants! LOL

  • I ate anything and everything I wanted! I was not required to do a preop diet....I gained 20 pounds in 3 months! I think its normal , sorta like a food funeral!

LOL! Welcome to the world of Sleevers. :-). As you progress you will see how varied our surgoens & protocols are. The best advice is to follow your surgeons, of course.

As regard to your question: it is really, IMHO, a personal preference. Some people feel that they won't be able to restrict themselves from their fav foods so they'd rather just stay away from it. I'm like that with 7-up. I LOVE 7-up and know if i start back up that it could easily become a slider food for me.
