Did your nutritionist suggest anything? What type of diet are you on? Different doctors use different pre-op diets. For example, some require no dieting and others require three weeks of dieting. Some require liquids only and others allow some meals.

My Dr. has me on protein low carb diet the two weeks before surgery. They should tell you soon what they want you to eat on your pre op diet. Good luck. My surgery is the 17th. I am so excited!

someone wrote they take lemon juice and warm water before bed and when they wake up. Not sure if that helps or not. I'm on week one of my two week diet and I haven't lost any weight yet :( my surgery is also on the 17th. Might try a liquid diet next week.

Yeah my dr has me on basically a liquid diet... can do veggies jello; things like that... guess I'm just noticing that every dr is different

I liked Fage plain Greek yogurt. It is high in Protein and counts as a liquid, too. It tastes like sour cream, though, so it is not to everyone's taste.

Hi, we are having our surgery the same day. I had a pre op class and the dietician went over everything and gave us paperwork on what to eat. And we received info on what to do after surgery. How is it going?

O wow.... I have 2 b there @ 730... did they tell u how long it takes

I don't recall but I will ask the PA tomorrow. Im the only patient having surgery that day. My surgeon usually do surgeries on Monday's but if there are quite a few patients he will do 1 on Tuesday's.

th.Well had my surgery this past Monday the 17th. I was wondering how your surgeries all went? I had lost 9 pounds when I went for surgery. I can't wait to see how much I have lost for the first 2 week checkup! Hope all is well with you.

i had my surgery on the 17th too... My nutritionist had me on one week of clear liquids and now one more week of thicker liquids like cream soups and milk....starting next week i can have pureed stuff....week one i lost 7kgs thats around 15 pounds i guess...

My first week I lost 13 lbs.. My diet is pretty the much the same as yours. I am amazed at how fast I get full when taking about 3 bites of soup. I really noticed today how much I am losing. I wore a pair of pants that I hadn't had on since back in the spring. They were really loose. Hope you week is going well. D
