New Here ... Dr Ponce

Hi there, I am new here and thought I would finally say Hi after lurking for a few days :) I am going to be having surgery with dr Ponce whenever I can figure out the funding for the surgery :) I am so super excited I just can't get enough information about everything. The only worry I have is when I come home and taking care of my kids while my husband is at work, I have 3 in school and 2 at home and I have read alot about the whole energy drain that tends to happen after surgery. I am sure I will end up having some help but I still am nervous about it.

Hi there! Dr ponce did my surgery on June 15 & trish was my coordinator! My surgery went great! I also have little ones at home. When I came home from surgery I had an 8-month-old & a almost-two-year-old.... Even with my husband home--it was rough!! I was hobbling around on the floor on in my knees to try and avoid picking up my kids. Even going out of my way to not lift my children, I still ended up picking them up sometimes, and it hurt (I may have had more pain than a typical patient, but only because my surgery was revision from lap-band--so excess scar tissue). I guess what I'm trying to say here is, if you can get ANY extra help when you return, do it! But if you can't, you should be ok! :)

I am glad you had a great experience with Dr Ponce and Trish, it makes me feel more confident when I hear so many good things about them.

My kids are 10,8,6,3 and 15 months so thankfully my older kids can help when they aren't at school its when they are in school and my husband is at work that worries me. I maybe able to get my cousin to help on her days off. AH who knows LOL its something that came to me in the night while my mind was racing with all this stuff, I just can't stop thinking about it all.
