Sleeved 9/4!

New to the post op section of the boards! Was sleeved 9/4 by Dr. Kim in Dallas. Everything went great, had some bleeding from the incision they pull the stomach out of that wouldn't stop. Finally got that stopped with pressure bandages (OUCH!!!), and was released around noon today. Able to keep drinking fluids, and having minimal nausea, and slight pain. Most pain is from the incision that wouldn't stop bleeding. Happy to be on the "loser bench"!! :-)

Great to hear all went well!........And that most pain is from the incision. What I am most scared of is the pain. Not sure why I had a complete hysteroctmy in 08....lol

Dr. Kim will sleeve me on the 20th. I started my pre-op liquid diet today. How did you survive the BariEssentials?

It wasn't bad! By the end I wasn't even hungry & had to force myself to drink them!

They gave me pain meds plenty of times, anytime I asked really. Also nausea medicine. I get very nauseous from anesthesia, and warned ahead of time. I had zofran every 6 hours for the first 24 hours I would say! Wednesday wasn't as bad, threw up twice (minimal amount, about 1 tbsp, was from the barium swallow test). They said lots get sick from that. I am mostly just sore. Walking around fine, no issues. I don't like having the "have to burp feeling" bc it hurts!
