My EGD IS 8/30. It is supposed to check my stomach. I have to call them tommorow to see what time I'm supposed to be at Forest Park.

How are you doing on it? Its very tough to do I am trying very hard next week will be worse but it's worth it.

I'm on my 6th today with 4 protein shakes a day. It's very hard. But I'm reading a great book, The Emotional First Aid Kit: A practical guide to life after bariatric surgery, by Cynthia Alexander. The book is really awesome in that it focuses on the main weapon in your arsenal for weight loss - Your Mind. It was recommended by my Psychologist and has really been a great help in helping me shift to the most significant part of all of this, permenant lifestyle changes. My surgery is on Sept 4th and I want to be prepared mind, body and soul.

I am on the 5th and been on my pre-op for 6 days now, and I must say so far so good.

Only cheated once, today & I have no guilt. It was scrambled egg whites. How can I feel guilty about that???!!!

Don't feel guilty it's really hard. I also am with Dr Kim and I cheated yesterday and don't feel guilty. Honestly it helped me. Have you had your EGD yet?

I would not feel guilty either. I cheated yesterday and it actually helped me. My husband only had to do 1 week when he did gastric bypass. I'm with Dr Kim too. Did you already have your EGD in prep for the surgery on 9/4.

I am all done with my preop things! I had stuff done on the 14th & 17th. I didn't have to have an EGD done. I don't know why? I am self pay though'
