Too Many Liquids Five Days Postop?

I guess I've been drinking too much. The discomfort when drinking liquids stopped yesterday afternoon and today I got in over 100ozs. Susan from dr. Alvarez said that is too much and it may deplete minerals. Weird - I'm worried as to why can I drink so much?? Prior to surgery I would drink 1-2 gallons a day but it doesn't seem like that should matter. Anyone else experience this? I'm five days post op. Maybe it's a good problem to have but I'm worried nonetheless.

He's probably worried you're going to flush everything through your system before it has a chance to be digested and absorbed. Seems logical.

My program said at least 32 oz for staying out of the ER, and shoot for 64 oz optimally.

Good luck.

My NUT says 64-96oz per day....
