Oh, The Smells!

I am 4 days post-op and doing really well as far as recovery and adjusting. I was a bit bummed that I gained 10 lbs since surgery date (

they doubled my IV fluid because I seemed dehydrated) but today that weight is gone, yay! I have noticed since the hospital that my urine and breath smell like rotting cabbage (eww). It isn't the same bad breath I had with ketosis so that's what makes me wonder about it. Anyone else smelling funky? Is this a permanent smell??

My breath was RANCID for the first week post surgery. I think it was the dry mouth. Who knows what else...but it does go away.

Yeah- Walgreens didn't have it. They had other. Biotene things but not spray. So is it buy the mouthwash then?

i've seen a biotene spray... i would just check around. but the mouthwash is great and not too minty like listerine. they use it to keep the mouths of hospice patients moist at the end, so i was planning on using it to rinse my mouth post op.
